I know LGPE is absolute garbage and I'm not going to defend it but I think GF wants us to look at it from a different angle. They started with Go as being the base(obviously) and added elements from the traditional main series game to make the newfag transition slow. Though I will never understand why they didn't include held items. They could have added only a few of them shince there's not an emphasis on competitive play in LGPE. And ofc making a 1:1 Kanto replica(not even: no safari zone) was definitely a lack of effort but faggots will still defend and buy this shit. Who knows how they fucked up Lavender town...
