Plenty of triple A titles are in the same boat when it comes to splitting funds, (publisher, developer, etc.), and even if pokemon specifically divides funds more so than most companies, the IP had made SUBSTANTIALLY more than ANY game in our planet's current history. Stop making this brainwashed argument that gamefreak is somehow comparable to a poor indie team taking a huge risk just by making the game.
Tens of millions of dollars is complete toilet paper to them. You have to admit the only reason why they keep a small team is because they are content with their games' current quality and see no need to waste money on more workers to make better products.
You can't tell me that the smash team just has more funding than the pokemon team, because that's fucking false, and that game is already proving to be a much better value for $60. Hilariously so.
