If someone who's only played GO wants LGPE they need to drop about $360 (+tax) to get a Switch+the game and then another $50 for the Pokeball accessory/Mew. While there will be people who do this, the majority of GO players are content with just GO.
There's also the fact that Genwunners do NOT support the later games, it doesn't matter if there are gen 1 Megas, Gen 1 Alolan forms, gen 1 whatever, Genwunners don't give a shit since it's not Kanto. Gamefreak cannot sustain itself chasing the normalfag dollar and now it's finally biting them in the ass since genwunner casuals don't want this and actual Pokemon fans are pissed off because it's Kanto for a 5th time+cut Pokemon. LGPE was a mistake.
