Why is this dog pushed harder than Greninja was? They even gave Duskroc a head start by debuting it in the anime three months before its game came out.

It's pushed in the anime, merchandise and official art a lot, maybe more than the frog. The only difference from Greninja is how good it actually is, so saying or feeling like it's not as shilled has EVERYTHING to do with how good it is.

My guess is that since they're trying to replicate Greninja's success, they push him out early so they'd profit more out of it.
Of course, one could also guess they know Carrotdog aren't as popular as Greninja, and the early push was meant to be a handicap.

It IS the only Dusk Form Lycanroc in existence, though.
Not only that, but it needed the assistance of a legendary and the other two Lycanroc forms to come into existance.
It's even more of a snowflake than Ash-Greninja was.
