Who are they targeting here? Most people on twitter who follow that account are adults. People who already know about mega evolutions because its literally nothing new.

Nah man, Twitter is like super used by younger people. They litterally lost a big part of their userbase when they banned account under 13 y-o. (And of course half of them came back).

At least with tumblr you're not going to come across SJW hysteria unless you're actively trying to seek it out. It's easy to avoid the section of the site entirely. I personally just bookmark links to a few good quality porn blogs which is one of the very few things tumblr excels at.
Twitter on the other hand is filled to the brim with normalfags "calling out" other people for virtue signalling points. With trending hashtags, retweets, comments, etc. it's close to impossible to avoid that crap.

I think it's actually for teens/young adult normies who only played Pokemon Go, maybe haven't played the series since the originals when they were children. This is why they're simplifying it to this degree, it's for people who probably haven't played any games like this, and you have the coop to still have the social aspect.

Of course, I think this is dumb, because as has been shown over and over and over again, people who only play simple mobile games only WANT to play simple mobile games.

The other theory is that it's for kids who play mobile games, as Masuda has talked again and again about how he thinks kids can't focus on the games for more than a few hours because they have short attention spans, and he's used this to justify lots of removed features in the past. But again, this is retarded because the reason kids get bored of Pokemon isn't that the games are too hard or long, it's because they're fucking boring and the same shit over and over again and the new monsters aren't really interesting.

The way they've worded this tweet alone speaks volumes to the problem these games will have;
Watered down gameplay that has no respect for the gamers intelligence.
Which is fucking sad considering this is a remake of a 20 year old game, that had no online guides, no hand holding, and puzzles that actually challenged the people who played them.

no sun when Zard Y is out means drought isn't there, and abilities aren't in the demo either

japanese trailer showed the Charizard mega button giving a choice between X or Y, meaning either the stones were merged or holding them is not required. no held item option in previous clips either

Most of the people I'm aware of who play the main series don't give a shit about Go.

Precisely because it's watered down crap that only just got trading for fuck sake when that is a major gameplay thing (it shouldn't even have been released without battles, trading and all Pokémon in existence when it hit the app stores). And even then it's a watered down version that actually got implemented because it re-gens them when you "trade" meaning you don't get what's actually sent.

If you like the actual games then you don't like Go. There's no reason to.

And since Genwunners don't like the actual games they're the ones who play Go.
