But it means that it has some niche in OU, which it wouldn't have if it was useless. Where a Pokemon lands tier-wise doesn't dictate how good it is otherwise we wouldn't have things like Quagsire's wild ride.

The only way to fix them is to make them an anti-meta type, but im not so sure Gamefreak gives a fuck about singles meta beyond battle spot

Why does GF give the glass cannon type mostly pokemon with slow defensive stats?

Ice would be so much better if the pokemon were fast and hard-hitting like you say. Weavile is a good example.

You don’t. Any niche they had is taken over by Fairy and repeated power creep has fucked them over. At this point I think a good idea would be to make them Bug-type 2.0 and let them be snagged early on in mainline games.

Switch him out on any special attacker and use curse, recover, eq, avalanche @ leftovers. The ice thing is a meme, he doesn't have any 4x weaknesses and can live through superpowers from lowtier threats if played right. As long as they don't have a special attack or an absolutely massive attack stat with a strong stab move that avalugg is weak to, then he is a perfect curse abuser. I'd say he's the most slept on staller in the entire meta honestly. If they gave him filter for a HA, he wouldn't even need a mega or an evo to be viable.
