Decently powerful early game and you can evolve it to suit your playstyle, type matchups, etc.
It should be the only Pokemon given out to new Pokdex holders, if not for new Pokemon being "discovered".
It's just a shame that Leafeon and Glaceon are almost always stuck as post-game or very late game evolutions.
I've always wanted to use a Glaceon early on.
