When you catch all 28, a tutor will teach it a signature move that is always super effective and deals damage based on the highest attacking stat. This move also changes Unown's form and gives it 100 in every stat.

Unown is fine as it is, hot damn. You people can't help but keep suggesting something's wrong with it can you?

Its purpose is to exist for mysterious lore reasons, and it is DESIGNED to be underwhelming in battle INTENTIONALLY. Making Unown viable in combat is not 'fixing' it, it would ruin what Unown is meant to be.

If you have all 26 Unowns in a Box on your PC and an empty box in an adjacent slot, quitting the game and reloading will have the empty box filled with a single pokemon:

Speed: 98
>Ability: Adaptability
It still only learns Hidden Power. However, its type upon being spawned in the box is the same type as its hidden power, so it will always get stab on it.
It's still a shitmon though so don't get your hopes up.

If Hidden Power had fixed 60 power back in 2nd gen Unown would have been reasonably useful at the start of Gold/Silver, especially if you got hidden power Pyschic.
