Not at all as it's almost a given. Even if they go all out with old characters for the fanservice/ballot it will most probably at least be dlc alongside the likes of a xenoblade2 rep.
It's probably going to be Incineroar, but Id be fine with Decidueye, Buzzwhole, Tapu Koko, Poipole, Lycanrok and a couple others.

It's not confirmed there won't be a new Pokemon rep in the game. Every game has introduced at least one new Pokemon on to the roster, and we have plenty of Gen VII Pokemon to choose from.

At the very least, there should be a Pokemon boss in whatever secret mode is there. I think Ultra Necrozma in Ultra Megaopolis would fit as a boss.

I don’t really care. Though it’s guaranteed we will get one eventually, even if it means only through DLC. They could skip Gen 7 if they wanted and do a Gen 8 mon as DLC.

Alola has nothing on the same scale as Lucario or Greninja to even be remotely considered, as without the Genwun Safety Net, you're expected to be timelessly popular like they are to get in Smash.
Basically what I'm saying is Gen 7 has no shillmons that will be timeless because all of them will be forgotten next gen once the anime moves onto the next region, because the anime is the only source of popularity for this batch.
