And that's the main issue with LGPE. They are trying to do Pokemon Yellow, but in 3D. The original game may have been good in the 90's, but to nowadays standards, it's just barebones. And, because, from the looks of it, they are just trying to do a remake without adding anything, it will be as empty as the original. And, honestly, 3D graphics is not enough to justify selling Pokemon Yellow for 60 bucks. The only reason someone would pick the original game for that price is only because of it's value as collector's item. LGPE, however, doesn't even have that. So, comparing to the gen 5/6/7 games, it would not be a good game due to it's lack of content.
tl.dr :
-BW didn't impact the franchise in a negative way, since they were good games, just like XY and SM (as the sales for those games are remaining constant). As such, they cannot be used to invalidate my argument.
-LGPE, being a simple remake of Pokemon Yellow, would be considered bad by today's standards due to it's lack of content, which is the reason why I allow myself to call it "bad" and why I believe it will impact the series negatively, given they insist on releasing games of this caliber.
