When I saw Axew in the anime and then found one in a cave when I first played Pokemon B&W and catch it. I planned to being it to end game with me, it worked out pretty well for me.

Being unevolved, it's a competitive trainwreck and wouldn't have access to mega evolutions.

I was a stupid kid when I first got the original games and totally fell for the salesman's Magikarp pitch. Kept hoping for the best by throwing it in battle and eventually got rewarded. Then it was my first ever experience with shinies in Johto. Ever since it's been my signature mon in every generation where I can get one.

Mega is viable in OU. I have a shiny Adament one that I EV and Hyper trained that I will never stop using.

I saw it on the Pokemon XD battle mode. There was one paired with Suicune. Been in love with it ever since.

Yeah? It really hasn't changed at all since it came out. Don't really have a set except the standard Iron Head set.

My favorite pokemon was Groudon for the longest time for no particular reason until i actually sat down and thought about what my favorite pokemon actually is. I distinctly remember fighting Drake in Pokemon Sapphire for the first time and seeing a magnificent Dragon that had not appeared at any point throughout the game previously and when I remembered that Salamence immediately became my favorite. Groudon isn't even in my top 10 anymore.

It OU and Ubers for a good chunk of its existence, but recently power creep is taking its toll on Salamence's base form. Still perfectly viable in OU, just not perfect.

It already has a really broken one, but i think making a Special based variant would be a neat idea since Mence as always been a decent mixed attacker.

I had been waiting for a pumpkinmon forever but I never anticipated a pumpkin/Halloween themed pokemon all together. Played through XY, found me an XL variant Pumpkaboo, evolved to Gourgeist, at that point it became at least my 2nd favorite but when I saw its shiny it became my all time favorite over Ninetales

>I'm general no, I believe it's either PU or NU but it can perform decently in OU, especially after it got Synthesis in ORAS. Makes a fantastic core with Tyranitar and Zard Y; Zard Y's Ability boosts its Synthesis recovery and Gourgeist/Ttar all switch in on each other's checks and counters. All in all it's a good utility mon/annoyer that shuts down Sand and Rain, I have no idea go it would fare in Gen VII OU though.

Now it becomes really good, can realiably counter some of the tapu, has a unique niche and becomes unique in his own way on the OU metagame. Also, being able to switch in on water moves before turning mega is nice.
