What's the fucking point if the 2019 game will butcher them with natures, IVs, EVs, and hold items, leading them to far more complex game?

This, if they really were trying to integrate casual players they would explain the shit in game rather than taking it out. Casuals only play go because it’s free; no casuals will even bother to spend close to $400. And of those few casuals that actually buy LGPE and get into Pokemon, they’ll return the 2019 within a week because it’ll be way too overwhelming

I doubt Masuda sits in his office like "damn how can me and the boys fuck up the original Pokemon experience as much as possible haha" but there was absolutely no reason why they needed to go through all the "effort" to casualize the series when it was perfectly fine as it was.

All they needed to do was explain shit in game more, or at the least toss an expansive trainer school in one of the earlier routes for the new players and boom, you learned how to play. Also this >>36336721. What's the point of making half assed games like Let's Go when a year later they'll give you a more in depth experience that'll likely result in the actual brain dead casuals getting lost without a Rotom Dex or hour long cutscene?

I've seen a few unironic screenshots people posted here from Twitter, where people who were in their mid 20's were getting tired of how convulsed the games were and wanted them to be simpler or something. Due to that it doesn't surprise me that some people somehow managed to get lost in S/M of all games, which doesn't bode well for the future.
