Doesn’t make a difference, it’ll be full of handholding and guiding you to the end the entire time. That, and also little to no post-game content.

-No (gives you your standard Pokemon game tutorials)

-A fun, casual time (start on Normal mode)

stuff like that. but of course, it's GameFreak. Simple solutions are beyond their 'advanced' brains.

the tutorial is not present in "hard mode", basic tutorial in "normal mode" and the SM tutorial for "Easy mode".

We considered adding an option like this once, but then we considered that a child who may not fully understand the Pokemon Games may choose options that will cause them to not see any tutorials as well as have increased difficulty, or they will feel pressured to choose the harder options by their peers so they are not seen as "uncool" for wanting an enjoyable experience.
Of course, as you know already, a child that becomes frustrated with a game due to being unable to progress will simply give up, most likely going to play on a mobile device, and if they were peer pressured, their peers will simply mock them for not being able to take on the task, ostracizing the child.
