If it isn't, this maybe has me thinking that they might introduce new moves that make up for megas losing their abilities, like a waterfall clone with built-in mold breaker effect for gyarados, or a dizzy punch clone that hits twice for kanga. Megas with defensive abilities like thick fat would still be fucked.
Considering the dumpster fire these games are I'm probably mistaken but I don't like to see pokemon hurting itself any more.
