That's true though. Before, you could go to McDonalds for free Wifi during the DS era and use the free wire connectors from FRLG during the GBA era. I'm also sure that the GB had cables bundled with the handheld.

And in Gen 1, you couldn't get Mew without going to an event, and you couldn't get the trade mons without knowing someone IRL to trade with, or buying yourself a second GB and copy of the game.

So it's actually objectively cheaper to get all of them by yourself in LGPE than RBY.

I'm pretty set for this ordeal. Me and my freinds all play Pokemon, so some of us will have LGE and some of us will have LGP, so we can trade through that. The same solution for the trade required evolutions. We also all have a family plan for the Online, which makes it like £3 a year or some shit. I'm not gonna bother with Mew because I'm not giving them money for a bad product, though I will try to trade for one online.
