Hating the Vanillish line started off as a normie-tier Facebook meme that for some reason leaked into the actual fanbase. It got so bad that people actually started to believe they were spreading.
Vanilluxe is cute and anyone who dislikes it dislikes fun or they're too busy devaluing anything that isn't Smogon OU. If Vanilluxe was a top tier OU mon I bet suddenly it would be a lot of people's "bro".

Dumb icicles that inexplicably looks exactly like ice cream cones, and they float for no reason.
Vanilluxe is by far the worst, it grows another head without any justification, same thing with the oh-so-subtle straw.
I would be fine with them being some sort of actually mutated/possessed ice cream, or if they were icicles with more subtle ice cream influences. But I'm not buying them just ""coincidentally"" being icicles that look just like ice cream.

Vanillite is kind of cute though.

Pokemons that are made to push the bare minimum numbers are usually hated too. Voltorb, Electrode, Muk, Grimer, and others that lack creativity deserve the same hate.
