The SM Anime will be fine, it's not in any rush to do anything except get the Necrozma Arc and the remaining UBs out of the way, then they can go back to their Slice of Life "nothing happens ever" shenanigans until the League, then do even more SoL shenanigans before Ash finds out about Gen 8's Region and fucks off.

The anime can and has made up filler arcs to pass the time before if need be:

>Orange Islands
>Battle Frontier
>Decolore Islands

I doubt they'll need to do anything of that sort this time around, but they've done it before and can do it again if needed
