Hey, I stopped watching pokemon anime during season 2 and I wanted to catch up, but I've heard mixed things about the newer episodes, should I watch?

Anime starts to look like pure garbage from Sinnoh onward
Story is more or less always the same quality (aka bad), but in SM they drop the travel theme Pokemon always had, which is a terrible idea imo
