>>36352073Honestly it all comes down to how slow the game is. Grinding is such a chore and with the difficulty of gen 4, you're going to have to grind at some point.
Also in the case you're playing Diamond and Pearl, the gyms aren't spaced out well at all. It takes like, 2 whole towns in between Gardenia and Maylene. Then the gyms are back to back.
Platinum fixes some of the slow, like changing the surfing speed n such. But it still is just a slog to get through. Which is really a shame because the atmosphere, story, characters, Pokemon designs, and music are really great. But comfiness doesn't mean anything when the game is a chore to get through.
