What are you guys doing until the real Pokémon games come out in 2019?

I’m playing Platinum right now.... just kinda trying to be slow and deliberate and enjoy the experience. I’ll probably do black or white 2 after that. Maybe with some Let’s Go bullshit sprinkled in because I’m a fangoy and I’ll probably buy it anyway.

What about you guys?

So far on my list is..
>Getting into the Disgaea series
>Buying both Xenoblade 3DS & Xenoblade Chronicles 2 for Switch
And I guess trying to branch out to other series since Pokemon's fate is worrying. Also have fun with Platinum and take in the Sinnoh region in depth by talking to the NPC's and etc. Make sure not to skip around trainers too much, since you'll need to finish the Regional Dex to unlock the Battle Area for postgame.

Didn’t grab USUM because it looked lazy and I don’t plan on grabbing LGPE because they look just as bad. Been working on my backlog though so it’s been alright. Finished a lot of shit this year that I’ve been putting off for a while, so maybe it’s a blessing in disguise that Gamefreak shat the bed two years in a row.

I've played through LeafGreen and SoulSilver, using my brother's copies of the opposite versions to complete full regional living dexs. Doing the same for Emerald right now, and plan to keep going with Platinum, Black, etc.
It's been the most fun I've had playing Pokemon in years. Been super fun revisiting all the games I haven't played in forever. Can't wait to try Colosseum and XD.

I think that’s more people than you think, man. The fact that there’s hardly even a hype season for these games when the fucking enhanced versions of a game that already came out did have one, you know the series is hitting rock bottom. I think a lot of people here aren’t gonna be around here much longer if Gen 8 isn’t any good.

I don't know, at this rate a lot of people are abandoning Pokemon. The sad thing is it won't even matter to GF or the Pokemon Company in the slightest since they'll have a new generation of children to string along and make money. On another note I'm not even going to buy the first versions anymore since the 3rd is inevitably around the corner. I'll just wait shit out.

Honestly can't decide

Thanks to money I can't decide between the physical Version of the next wow expansion (to save on downloads since I still have a bandwidth cap), or Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate (not sure how big a leap it is from world or if I can do story quests via multiplayer)

Other than that thinking of either starting on Tales of The Abyss or continuing Digimon World Next Order. Was gonna try out one of the RPG Castlevania games or see if I could use my laptops built in Mic for Seaman emulation. but then the whole "Emuparadise" incident and it's fallout happened.

Future games Include Spyro, still annoyed at the delay, Yokai Watch Blasters and Smash Ultimate.

I've been trying to build competitive teams in generation 3 because it had the best meta. I forgot how tedious it was, but it's really rewarding at the same time.

This year is the first year I've ever touched Kanto. I'm doing my second Yellow run now and my first Leaf Green run. I've got some ROMhacks saved for later too. When LGPE were announced I realized I never actually played RGBY or FRLG so I figured I should get myself familiar with the region.

I probably won't play LGPE more than once unless I find something to like about them. My brother is getting it and said he'll give me his copy if he gets bored with it.
I'll wait for the enhanced version of the 2019 games unless they announce there won't be an enhanced version.

It wasn't just Emuparadise, but a lot of major Rom distributing websites that got the hammer and were forced to delete all their roms, or shut down completely. Basically Nintendo going on a warpath once again for no real reason since a majority of the games people do pirate are pretty old. They also got Freeshop shut down or something along those lines if I recall correctly.

It doesn't really matter though since a lot of websites just moved to a different website and keep themselves low profile, or went to torrents.

I want to argue against you, but. Yeah. You're right. I love looking up movesets for shitmons and building a gimmick set for the off chance I might battle someone (or the god awful battle tree). don't be so convinced. Young children aren't actually picking up Pokémon that much anymore. Sure, it's succesful, but not to the degree it once was, by a very, very large margin. The older fanbase is basically its backbone right now.

If you want to get into Disgaea, watchout for Hour of Darkness. It's really fun, but the level curve is a bit... strange. Or maybe I have too many characters/had a shit composition. Who knows.
Also, I hope you like grinding, since the "postgame"'s (read : MMO post game, a.k.a main game) point is too see how broken your characters can be.
But, if you're smart (and prepared to grind a bit from time to time/sacrifice units(hooray to no permadeath)), none of the above are too bothersome.

Not now, I have to finish Disgaea PC first, but I plan on getting all of them eventually.

Also, about the grinding, there are so many ways to speed up the process (specialists, increasing the level of enemies, bonuses,...) it's not that tedious. And, if you don't want to do crazy high leveled character, you can play the story just fine without grinding that much.
