This is the only real answer. Long Reach is pretty fucking bad otherwise. Gamefreak is sure great at creating pointless abilities for non-legendaries. Primarina has the same issue.

I think mega Mewtwo X would benefit from it far more than Decidueye. Not only would it get rid of its near useless ability of steadfast. Long reach also fits Mewtwo X thematically as its limbs actually stretch.
