post gym ideas that haven't been done, you can post teams too (movesets optional)

The whole concept of Gyms and mono-typing trainers needs to be dropped and replaced with something better. Maybe have fun themes or different battle styles, like Norman’s Hoenn gym.

Like Evasion with Sandstorm, glass cannons, stalling, meme teams with shit like Explosion on every mon, ect.

Leaders with Pokémon related to their jobs.

Example:

Name: Copernico.
Ocupation: Astronomer.
Theme: Pokémon related to space, being extraterran or have some relation with the space, like Umbreon related to the moon.
Team:
-Clefable.
-Starmie.
-Minior.
-Umbreon.
-Etc.

Name: Savanna.
Ocupation: Pokémon Ranger.
Theme: Pokémon that you can find in the safari (Africa), I mean Pokémon counterparts in the real world. (?)
Team:

-Girafarig.
-Zebstrika.
-Pyroar.
-Liepard.
-Rhyhorn.
-Buffalant.
-Etc.

Gyms based on different battle styles, like Double, Triple, Rotation, and Inverse.

Gyms focusing on certain stats, or even moves-- a special attacker gym leader with a focus primarily on aura and pulse moves, or a physical attack gym leader that has high power recoil moves on all his Pokemon.

Gym leaders with teams centered around a theme.

Sounds fair. Most egg groups tend to group pokemon with similar types.
I was thinking on amorphous and Human-like to start easily

Okay, this thread needs bumped, so I'm going to leave a subpar post by just pastaing something I've already written down that's really just a theme instead of an actual interesting idea:

(Of a Fire-type gym)
>The gym leader is a keyboardist. The entire inside of the gym has wallpaper that, even though it's printed with a fire design, is all in dark, cool colours, and is lit by lanterns on the walls. The back of the gym where the leader is has a big ol' fireplace. Maybe there are lamps you can light up with fire-type moves to help you get around the gym better.
>So, pretty opposite direction of what one might expect a Fire-type gym to be.

Now to post a Egg group-based Gym team
Starting with... Undiscovered! Or Baby Pokemon.
>The Gym Leader is an avid breeder, thus his Pokemon know Egg moves, a couple have Hidden Abilities, and have favourable stats. Despite passing the tests for being a Gym Leader he uses rather tough moves to make up for his team's whole baby thing.
-Pichu, Lightning Rod, Lv. 16 (Hidden Power Ice, Sweet Kiss, Thunder Shock, Nasty Plot)
-Mantyke, Water Veil, Lv. 16 (Hidden Power Ground, Confuse Ray, Water Pulse, Bounce)
-Chingling, Levitate, Lv. 17 (Hidden Power Fighting, Confusion, Hypnosis, Icy Wind)
-Togepi, Super Luck, Lv. 17 (Hidden Power Rock, Metronome, Mirror Move, Sweet Kiss)
-Tyrogue, Guts, Lv. 18 (Hidden Power Ghost, Mach Punch, Fake Out, Bullet Punch)
-Munchlax, Thick Fat, Sitrus Berry, Lv. 20 (Hidden Power Ground, Charm, Chip Away, Shock Wave)
Despite the team having scary movesets, you're given the materials to match 'em, plus you may have a couple evolved Pokemon too.

This a great idea and actually teaches the player about game mechanics, it also makes no sense why powerful trainers have mono type teams fucking schools in the games teach you why that’s a bad idea

Or perhaps instead of monotype, it's 2-3 types that make sense thematically or just differing strategies in general (Fire/Grass Sun team, Sandstorm team with oddballs like Helioptile and Cacnea, Bug/Grass Rain team to cover up the weaknesses and using good Pokemon to boot, Fairy/Dark Double Battle, ect.)

Fighting type gym
Gym Leader doesn't believe the player is ready to face his challenge and won't admit him until he displays a familiarity with Fighting types. To do this, the player has to bring a Fighting type 'mon to the gym and do a 3-round Points/KO Match, Battle Tent style. If the player doesn't have any Fighting types, they can battle the other trainers in the Gym to get Dex entries for their Fighting types and then go out and catch them. Each of these trainers would have one Fighting type with significant variance in how to catch and use them (Meditite, Poliwhirl, Heracross, etc) Once the player wins the Points match with their fighting type, they're free to challenge the Gym leader to a regular match.
The Gym Leader's team changes based on the results of the Points match - if the player wins by Points, he uses a technically oriented team, but if the player wins by KO he uses a more power-focused team. The Leader's signature mon is either Hitmontop on the Technical team, or Machamp on the physical team.
