How was any casual meant to get this thing in BW days? Can't even get it if you replay it now.

Also, they give you one for free in BW2.

That's why I specified BW days. Trading for it was a limited option because there was no What Pokemon option then and you only get Zoroark's seen entry in game so anyone breeding them would have to evolve them all first.

Not making their own online service for free to let people trade for the Switch games. Since the Switch will have online based subscriptions, you are forced to pay for online to trade Pokemon (as of LGPE), which is one of the core gameplay aspects of Pokemon. It also means you can't get 100% of the Pokedex without paying for online, buying extra hardware, or having friends that will buy that too. This will hurt sales a lot for Switch game.
They should have a service like Pokebank that allows trading without needing to pay for online.

Events/Mythicals -ARE- "DLC only" Pokemon, though. Not only that, they're Day 1 On Disc DLC locked behind timed events permanently keeping you from ever obtaining them unless you hack them in / find a Mystery Gift cart, which the average player very much likely would not know about.

That was a gen 4 event and you had to transfer it though some retarded method that only transfers them for it to count for no particular reason beyond fuck you. You can't even save the event in another gen 5 game for replays because it saves the mon as already having done the event.

People (myself included) kept bitching about how parts of the map would remain locked off on replays. The ideal solution is to just keep those quests and bin mythicals as a concept but that's not going to happen.

It would've been neat if Mythicals took after the Mew glitch, they were strong mons that were fightable but only if you pulled off some hard, crazy obscure method.
Anything over the shitty 'Go to Gamestop and then have them literally handed to you'

There are enough damn mythicals by this point that they should at least start making one of them available per game like they did with deoxys. Thats a really good motivation to completing the regional dex, or beating the end game episode, or something. Normal legendaries i dont even bother with anymore because they throw them in games like candy, but mythicals still hold value
