I'd remember not only as a great developer but also the composer of some of the most memorable themes. I don't know why he's getting so much hate he just realized the switch is shit so he's giving it what it deserves, shit games.

I will honestly wait until Gen 8. That’s the final straw for me. And honestly I don’t think Masuda is that bad, he’s just been giving ya what e thinks the fans want. Once LGPE underperforms (it won’t flop) I expect a return to Gen 3/4/5 styles games

Ohmori is probably directing Gen 8, so expect more of SM/ORAS.
Hopefully that will flop, and then Gen 9 is where Game Freak finally prove their worth.

He may be killing the series but he also is responsible for Pokemon not fading into obscurity after Crystal and probably helped shape the series more than we realise. But it's time for him to go and it feels like he's passing the torch onto Ohmori.
