Stellar games. I wouldn't say these games killed the franchise. I'd say that happened with X and Y. Due to the enormous sales of that game and all its casualization I'd say those killed the franchise because it became apparent then that sub par products were OK

It's not their fault. It was of the Pokémon community that don't buy the games if it has not Gen 1 pandering. After these games Game Freak was noticed this and now we get Charizard and Lucario as a gift everywhere.
