VS Ultra Necrozma is definitely a top-tier theme, but what sets it apart is it's good from start to finish, and a lot of VS battle themes are just an intro with a chord modulation (VS Xerneas/Yveltal or DW/DM Necrozma) or the same riff over and over (VS Wally).
Thing is, vs Lunala/Solgaleo is just as good, and even foreshadows Ultra Necrozma by using part of his melody.

What? Ultra Necrozma is one of the best battles the series best battles the series has had in years, even if Necrozma's origins are fairly undeveloped

Would you want a pokemon boss that has an ability that has several forms?
Like power construct, but it happens several times and the health regen/stat redistribution makes it stronger every time
And in order to capture that pokemon you have to have 6 open slots, which is actually impossible in game, but for the sake of competitive one pokemon effectively takes the role of 6

It really isn't, it's cheap difficulty you're not expecting that's not even fun to beat by normal means
You can either cheese it, grind the fuck out of your team, or get one shot by every single attack because his moves cover 90% of the regional Dex
Yeah it's a step in the right direction but it's still awfully designed, the totems are about ten billion times better

I dont like it. It sucks that they artificially raised its stats and the theme is one of the most overrated ones i've heard.

Deoxys battle theme is so much better, same with Xerneas/Yveltal/Zygarde, Tapus battle theme aswell as Primals and Rayquaza.

"cheesing" is not the only choice, there are a fuuuckton of options out there
but there is a good chance you'll need to use the focus sash because probably not even 1 mon of your team won't be able to use a move

but what really need the boss system of pokemon is the usual features from other rpg like phases, multiple hp bars, resistance to x effects and others permanent effects

Are you sure, OP? I don't know if it's my hype sensors being worn out with other music, but Necrozma's theme is pretty mediocre; even Lusamine's regular battle theme and the Ultra Beast theme were better and more engaging; even the remix fails to get me pumped.
If you can't get someone's adrenaline up with the supposed legendary theme, it's shit. I love Necrozma and all, but you can't simply deny that Ultra Sun/Moon was incredibly disappointing in all aspects.

Nah. I like the simplicity of it being a large dragon-shaped body of light that uses regular Necrozma's body parts as armor pieces.

It would've been able to convey Necrozma's living corpse theme better if it actually formed a proper skeleton and not just two legs, a fraction of a torso and some jaws

This, and I say that as someone who likes base Necrozma's design the most out of its forms. The TCG renders come close to making it look good, but the light part of its body still looks a bit too much like cheese. Art like this that gives it a bright white glow, on the other hand, really makes it pop.

Its Sugimori art is also honestly pretty bad. The pose is boring and doesn't convey the sense of power, size, and awe a being like this should have.

Also what >>36388463 says would be neat. Especially if the parts didn't "cheat" from base to Ultra as they do (you can't tell me Ultra's arms are the same as base's legs, the latter are way too small).

This. Ultra Necrozma is a good design, but all of its 3D models fail to properly convey the whole 'made of light' thing, so it looks more like it's just made of some boring solid yellow-ish matter than anything.
