I'm probably not gonna get the games, but here, based on what I remember from my original RBY team, which was
>Charizad
>Nidoking
>Golem
And 3 other mons I can't remeber, but I think one was gyrados, and one was probably scyther. Last might have been gengar, but not sure. To this day Scyther and Nidoking are my favorite gen 1 mons, I love poison as an eelement and nidoking just being this giantt toxic, spiikey monster is cool as fuck. I love claw/blade themed monsters, and I love fast stuff with that, so scyther is obvious, especially being a fucking dino mantis. I find the idea of jolteon have eleectricied spiny fur to be really interesting, to this day it's onee of the most conceptually interesting electric types. I prefer haunter to gengar, it's aactually probably my number 1 actual favorite gen 1 mon, but Gengar's decent, espeecially in itt's gen 1 art/gen 2 sprite. Victreebel I never used to care for but in adulthood (fuck me i'm already 24 and I haven't gone to college or gotten a job yet kill me) I really love it
The rest I like for less complex reasons (gyrados, cloyster and charizard being cool, though cloyster is mainly there as an alt water pick for stat/type alternatives, I don't like it as much as cruel or gryados or any of the other mons here other then golem, even if I still like it quite a bit) or I don't like them much at all anymore (golem)
