>>36391851i agree day/night is gorgeous and wonderfully atmospheric, especially with the beautiful spritework in gsc. gsc are great games. also the engine they used for gen 3 and especially gen 4 was aids, no doubt about that.
but it's not enough to say rse didn't breathe new life into the series and build the foundation for what could come next. additionally
>time of day changesrse did have the world changing on an hourly cycle. shoal cave is my favourite use of the hourly cycle in the game. then they had wacky stuff like mirage island and the regis obviously put in to fuel childhood speculation and theories.
>pokemon change depending on what time it isunfortunately this was put into very poor use in gsc because the pokemon selection is so weak. dpp's superior selection works much better.
