Thank you for keeping the good work man. I love Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh and Unova practically all the same. It's nice to have non-shitposting threads to discuss the characteristics of each region.

On the matter, I already posted about this on the "route threads" from a week ago:
I really love everything related to Mt.Coronet to Snowpoint on this region.
Having a micro mountain range separating the region into two cardinal parts, perhaps it's just placebo, but the West and the East do feel somehow different for me when I play.

One of my favorite experiences is the whole great travel to the isolated Snowpoint.
Getting out of the dark to reach route 216, a valley encased in the mountains, only to have to cross the blizzard and finally reach the calm of Acuity Lakefront:

I love origin form Giratina, unironically I believe this is one of those rare instances where edgy is done correctly.
It's obvious it's a chaotic evil being in nature, but for some reason it also feels like the "gentle giant" type, somehow.

Easily routes 216/217. I love snow routes, and Sinnoh nailed it, being the cold region based on Hokaido and all. I have fond memories of relaxing on Winter days while playing this route's music.

It's between Route 216 and the League's theme, but the entire OST is pretty wonderful.

Easily Chimchar. On every playthrough I have of Gen IV when I do go back and play them, I always pick Chimchar, no exceptions. I started with Gen IV so it was my first starter ever, and the moment when it evolved into an Infernape made me really happy.

Honestly I have a lot of favorites here. Lucario, Darkrai, Weavile, Gallade, Lopunny, I'm pretty fond of all the Pokemon for the most part.

Riley always comes to mind when I play these games actually, Iron Island is pretty neat. That one stat trainer Marley does as well because of her goth aesthetic. The stat trainers were some of the most memorable parts of Gen IV for me because of how out of reach some of them are unless you explore, with the exception of Cheryl and Buck.

Hmmm, Giratina with Manaphy as a second runner. All around though Sinnoh had some pretty great legends and mythicals. The Creation Trio is probably my favorite trio. I have some nice memories of the Manaphy movie though, solely because of this track. I main the little guy all the time competitively.

They still like slapping them far in game for some odd reason, alongside Ice Types in general because they're supposed to be "rare" or something, but now that Fairies have taken over as the Dragon killers, we need more snow areas and Ice Pokemon. Since Sinnoh is the cold region, I hope the remakes give us a bunch of Ice regional forms. I don't even care if they're mediocre competitively. I just want more Ice Pokemon.

Everything from the mysterious piano music to the high amount of stuff to explore to the snowy outside area, it's always one of my highlights of every Sinnoh playthrough.

In my eyes it's THE main theme of Sinnoh and captures the spirit of these games perfectly, they get you hyped for the adventure but also sound somewhat bitter sweet. It feels way more isolated compared to the other 2.
I mean, the whole zone is geographically cut from the rest of the world by a blizzard and a snow valley whose only access is a cave through one of the (supposedly) highest mountain ranges in the pokemon world.

Although I have to say I personally prefer the Lakefront of DP rather than the changes they made to Pt.
Pic related, it feels more "enclosed".

I know they like to make detail tweaks around the region whenever a third version comes by, but I only remembered the Lakefront because it's my favorite zone.
However, something they did change considerably is the entire Battle Zone: they changed things like the trees for more tropical ones, and darkened the entire palette, most probably to go with Stark mountain being a volcano and all.
Here's an example of the lighter, non-tropical version of two of the routes.

I would say there's a lack of volcanic areas in Pokemon, but there actually isn't now that I think about it.

Anyone got more Candice? I love Snowpoint City and the overall atmosphere. I remember reaching Snowpoint during a late winter night when I was home alone, and I struggled like shit with her gym because I chose Turtwig as my starter and the rest of my team was underleveled.
