A bit Gen 1 there, but it's hard to not be. I wouldn't mind a Plesiosaur though, they're pretty cool, as evident by Lapras.

That aside, speaking of fossilmon, I wonder why they don't have one in gen 7 when it's pretty much the series staple, much like regional rodents and birds.
Yes, we have none in gen 2 either, but that doesn't really excuse anything.

Hawaii is a relatively new landmass. There are almost no fossils for new Pokemon to be based on.
