Hey /vp/, what Pokemon deserves an evolution, or should be an evolution of another Pokemon.

For example, why isn't this guy Unown's evolution?

Maybe because it has fuckall to do with Unown and Hieroglyphs aren't the same thing as Proto-alphabets

Reminder that Alomomola is 70 fucking pounds and based on a Sunfish while Luvdisc is tiny and based on a Discus fish.
Yeah they're both pink and heart-shaped, but it turns out there are actually a lot of heart-shaped fish, it's a pretty basic organic shape.

Hieroglyphs and Alphabets are entirely separate linguistic systems. Read a book. Hieroglyphics are not a 3000iq galaxy brain alphabet. Sigilyph and Unown represent two completely different concepts.

Sigilyph isn't even based on hieroglyphs or any other sort of writing or proto-writing system, though, it's based on geoglyphs.

It seems extraordinarily obvious to me that Parchurisu was supposed to evolve into Emolga, but then they decided not to to cross-gen evos in Unova.

I'm not sure if Bouffalant was ever meant to be Tauros's evolution or its counterpart, but it was obviously based off of it.

I think a discus evolving into a sunfish still makes more sense than a water strider evolving into a moth/dragonfly. Plus, size does not matter much. Young animals grow larger as they age, fish especially

I always think of Surskit and Masquerain as a mayfly since mayflies stride on water and still develop dragonfly-like wings
