While the 'Wind' element could've had it's own type separate from Flying type I think the Flying type covers too much of what a Wind type would, that's why we don't have a 'Fish' type, Fish live in Water, they're aren't water, but Water covers everything involved with the water, so Flying type covers everything with flying in the AIR.

Also, those choices are retarded AF, why would Butterfree be a wind type, Arcanine? WTF does it have to do with air/wind? Koffing/Weezing? Vanillite line? Spritzee/Aromatisse?

they should honestly just change flying type to wind type. It would allow for more creativity.
For instance, wind type pokemon wouldn't need to actually be able to fly, just to be able to harness the power of the wind.

The core problem with a wind type is that you are then left with no good way to represent special flying type moves. That's why prism cut it deep into development.

For one, the weakness chart is absolutely retarded. Secondly, we know GF is retarded, Flying should have always been Wind to begin with. They just wanted to create "unique" typings instead of properly implementing the 4 Elements to be special or whatever.

By the way what, exactly, is your plan for Physical Wind moves?

Why it's almost like Wind related things is half of flying type for a reason.

not all suggested retcons need to be 100% in your face all about the new type conceptually in order to be plausible candidates. sometimes it's just as good if it simply adds something to an existing pkmn to make it more unique/interesting by the retcon, as well as to add diversity in how the type manifests among the selection of PKMN having the type.

similar to how Fairy retcons suddenly learn all sorts of Fairy moves as if it was always the most natural thing, so would for example Arcanine suddenly gain a bunch of new newly introduced Wind moves to its roster that actually make it more of a wind pkmn.

a poor selection of moves on one side of the physical/special spectrum has been an issue for a bunch of types, but gets resolved slowly but surely as new moves are added to even it out.

This is literally the only reason I hate this shit. The entire point of Wind is to retcon the Flying type completely while giving Wind related Pokemon said typing when they previously weren't Flying.

What's the point of this? Just rename Normal to Natural or something if the term Normal bothers you that much. Beast is a horrible idea because probably more than half of all pokémon could be seen as beasts.

Dark Pulse and Flash Cannon are widely available to just about anything that wants them though with vague energy attacks being easy enough to slap everywhere.
And I think Koko and Bulu are the only Faries that miss Play Rough?
Rock is cucked though, no beating around that bush.

I guess it's not an issue if there is only one decent move as long as it's easy to distribute like Flash Cannon and Dark Pulse are. There is an issue with that as Wind moves are not really widespread at all.
