I'm adamant that the dubbed version of OS is easily better than any version of SM. Undubbed SM is just an obvious commercial with pandering to lonely weeb virgins and dubbed SM is so plainly translated I can't see how any of the humor hits home with kids in the languages its offered to.
Case in point, Ash stops using sarcasm entirely after diamond and pearl in the anime simply because he doesn't use it in Japan. This doesn't work for a show that wants to appear funny to westerners.
