They should just make EE activate at the end of the turn instead of immediately.

But if they want to stick with the switching gimmick, they could maybe have an ability that forces the opponent out.

that or they could just go the boring route and do something like tough claws/etc.

Battle armor.
1stly sounds cool. 2ndly fits the theme(called Kabuto armor in Japanese) . And finally it actually would work pretty well, you could have a bulky Bulk Up set with Leech life as recovery, Aqua jet as priority and a another move for coverage.

It can be Intimidate, Tough Claw.
But these abilities make overpower to Golisopd. (For a bug type)

I propose a new ability: Brave Warrior, the Pokémon can not be changed by foe attacks, item or effect. Only for his/her own trainer.

Done. Meh ability with thematic.
The coward Wimpod with Wimp out become the Brave Golispod.

literally slow start should work only with speed
archeo is frail in general so it should have only rock head
goli should just lose health and summon substitute and exit turn after sub gone and he atk
