>>36434777Every time you get enough FC you level up, and Sonichu has the nerve to offer you some terrible facility every time instead of something useful. You could be rank 100 and he'll keep giving you a stupid bounce house. You can also trade THIRTY shards here for a SINGLE Bottle Cap for Hyper Training, which I'll mention later. In the end, Festival Plaza tries to be two different things, and in the process fails at everything.
Remember the Battle Factory? Ever wanted it to return? Careful what you wish you, because the Battle Agency is this game's version of it.
You pick a pokemon, then pick two pokemon whos rank is based on Festival Plaza guests, and fight 3 fights in a row. Once you do this, you get FC and a rank up. Who you pick a pokemon from doesn't matter, as it's not their pokemon, only the Battle Tree pokemon assigned to them. Ranking up levels up your first pick, and also levels up all of the opponents. This is the fatal flaw of the Battle Agency. You see, the pokemon you pick off of the guests are randomized, but the game generated ones are always Rank 0, meaning they're level 50. What this means is you can potentially enter a battle with a team of levels 100/50/50 vs three enemies with a team of levels 100/100/100, basically a 1v3.
Once you hit Rank 10 max, the Agency becomes almost completely unplayable without outside help. This place is on a death march from day 1, because the second the online dies, this place becomes impossible. The ranking system COMPLETELY ruins what could have been a neat side activity. Did I mention SM players will always have Grade 0 pokemon, making them worthless? Did I also mention that the majority of players will be from Sun and Moon? What were they thinking?
And this STILL isn't all of the problems with the plaza.
