Been around since Gen 1, Blue was my first game as a wee kid.
Played every gen/game since and loved every experience of every game, some more than others.
I don't have a preferred gen cause I like them all for different reasons, they're not all perfect but they're all good for their own reasons.
I can't stand people who say the real fans are ones who only like Gen 1 cause they think everything past it is 'Digimon', they don't even deserve the word fan and as someone who has been around since day 1, I'm quiet fed up with the constant Gen 1 pandering and shoving down our throats, I'm tired of seeing mainly gen 1 pokemon in every game too, like Gen 7 felt more like Kanto in the islands.
I just hope they stop with the Kanto pandering, it's not nostalgic when it's been shoved in your face every year since it was released. LGPE would be way more liked if we didn't have other Kanto remakes and if we didn't see as much gen 1 pokemon in the other games.

The regression started with BW, but Gen V rightfully gets a pass because it at least tried to move the series forward in other areas while still going backwards in others. Gen VI and VII saw the cancer metastasize and choke the life out of the interesting mutations that developed alongside the it in BW. LGPE is either the painful ejection of the tumors (in which case Gen VIII will be the start of the long road to recovery) or the sign that the cancer is now terminal (in which case Gen VIII will be the start of hospice care), and the only reason why we can't say with authority that it's the later is that there seem to be some within Game Freak and TPC who are at least aware of how dissatisfied a large contingent of fans have been with the past two generations (and especially the mere existence of LGPE) and are saying things like "Gen VIII will not be an entrypoint for the series".

Genwunner here, I never stopped playing Pokémon. I just think Pokémon took a drop in quality once Gen 3 rolled around and every game had a plot revolving around Pokegods and a kid saving the world.

There is no nostalgia in megaevolutions you retards. This is one of the main reasons why i find the 3DS games stupid and dont touch them with a 10ft pole. Changing the difficulty and adding tutorials and handholding every meter couldnt be more different than my experience with gen 1 back in the day too. LGPE doesnt cater to me or anyone wanting an unadultered gen I experience for nostalgia sake at all

LGPE cater to the lowest tier of casuals and pokemon apologists like YOU, who bought all the crap they released for the 3DS and thought they were great. This is not for genwunners, this is for shills that bought and will keep buying any piece of crap if someone puts a pokemon sticker on it
