No, that's what GameFreak thinks will happen if a Genwunner sees LGPE's Kanto and it's not a 1:1 remake in 3D.
Except they also decided to bring in Mega Evolutions which Genwunners despise for tarnishing the classic designs and desperately trying to ride the coattails of the original 151, and they replaced Blue, the most iconic rival of all time, with some faggot in order to meet the Modern GameFreak Friendly Rival Quota.

They didn't replace the characters, it's a parallel if not prequel "remake" of Yellow, they are actually different and not Red and Blue.

If it's a different Kanto, then why not decide to actually mix things up beyond making the games horribly easy?
Why not make Kanto look like how it did in the anime with large routes, massive bustling cities and other locations that would make the region feel vast and grand compared to the player's small chibi model and provide plenty of breathing room for Following Pokemon, an anime-sized Kanto in the games themselves being what most people have been dreaming of since the very beginning?
