BW2 by a long mile. Cool dex distribution, loads of postgame content, fixed a lot of the major flaws with BW1. Challenge mode should have been an option from the start, though, god damn it, too many legendaries, and the starters are still the worst in the series (but easily ditchable, thank fuck).

HGSS didn't fix enough of the major issues with the originals. Major meh and letdown.

PWT is less tedious and more fun than battle frontier.

Join Avenue is the most convenient thing to ever be included in Pokémon. It actually effects gameplay unlike the following Pokémon.

It's not even fair comparsion. HG/SS is remake of old games but do not change much of flaws in these old games.
BW2 is a large improvement of its prequel as it have better pokemon distribution and balance between older and newer pokemon well. It's also the most challenging game.
So BW2 won.

BW2 for the simple reason that HGSS doesnt give you enough places to train and too much cool story is event exclusive. That is all stopping them from being equal in my eyes.

Gotta agree, I greatly enjoyed BW1, would say it's my favorite game in the franchise and seeing how everyone here praises BW2 to no end made me want to try it even more. A month ago I got around to buying it and it was quite.. disappointing. Don't get me wrong, I liked it, but there's just something missing, it doesn't have that same spark. I still haven't really finished it either because I'm not feeling that same motivation.

When you can honestly solo the game with a level 38 starter and a level 36 Dragonair, and are forced to have 3 HM slaves... That is all you need to know.
Post main story HGSS are much better and larger than Johto.
I never liked johto, it's small as fuck, linear as fuck, barely any new pokemon, way too many old mons I've used way too many times before...
Rival is borderline retarded, but still 4x better than anything from Gen 6+
But post Johto, when you enter Kanto again etc, that is so much better. It's like the actual fucking game begins.
