I got the pre-order Jarachi disc that came with Colosseum so we were all able to get Jarachis. W those pokemon de grinded the shit out of Colosseum trying to get all the middle phase starters to be female because this was before FRLG and access to Ditto in gen III.
We actually managed to pull off getting 385 out of 386. None of us ever found or were able to go to a Deoxys event.
Though we did get the EON ticket because it came with an issue of Nintendo power and I had an e-reader.
Gen III is the one I have the fondest memories of.
