A repeat of Delphox (Braixen was used in the anime for "performances", you'll be lucky if you even get to see Lana's Popplio evolve to Brionne, Incineroar's concept art has shown it not to evolve yet). Presumably, Torracat might either evolve to Incineroar or just not evolve at all and stay at that, while creating a feud against that one Incineroar.
If Rowlet ever gets to evolve, that's it. Take a deep look at Dartrix. You might like it, but the Japanese masses won't, that's like the ultimate sacrifice of cuteness for them. Rowlet's super popular. If he were to evolve, he would have already have to. Evolving to Decidueye means going through the Dartrix phase which might or might not take a while to get through with it.
Decidueye isn't a failure, he's far from it. He merely doesn't have the role people wanted him to be (which is the whole Greninja thing). Heck, he even plays similarly to Chesnaught when you go and compare Chesnaughts' previous portrayals to Decidueye's Pokken appearance (he has a sly/appears to be cool kind of look, but then acts like a goof/soft pokemon).
