>>36462391Pokemon now spawn in the overworld like in LGPE. Rare pokemon have a higher chance of spawning, but there are more pokemon in a given area than in LGPE. However, instead of just wandering around, they act how they do in the Ranger games. Pokemon are either neutral, aggressive, skittish, or imobile depending on the species. Neutral pokemon might aknowledge your presence, but not really care unless you attack them. Skittish pokemon run away if they notice you. Aggresive pokemon will atatck you on sight and will chase you until you leave their territory. Immobile pokemon just sit there unless you do something to get their attention (think Shuckle from the ranger games).
There is a minor stealth element to the games now. A combination of moving slowly like in ORAS and line of sight like in Ranger. There would likely be a crouch action as well to hide in tall grass. You can sneak up on skittish pokemon or past aggressive pokemon.
A feature like the dex nav returns that lets you look for certain pokemon. If you register a pokemo as seen, you can have the dex scan for it. If you're in the correct area it will spawn that pokemon and you have to find it in a certain amount of time.
Trainers now have a cone of sight and will turn in your direction if you aren't sneaking. Similar to pokemon, they might just be sitting around or actively looking for trainers.
