If Pokemon 2019 is not a full effort, re-imagined console Pokemon game, then I'm not buying a Switch. That's my ultimatum to Nintendo.

I was going to buy a Switch for the 2018 Pokemon game, but then it turned out to be the LGPE abomination, so I refuse. It's time to take a stand.

As someone who put up with every Pokemon post Gen 6, LGPE was the final straw for me.
I'm fully content with pretending these games (as well as future titles) exist unless, like you say, GF actually puts in the effort to wow us again.
The old games will always exist, and they're good, so I'm happy.

There's good games on Switch, though buy what you want. If you'd only be buying it for Pokemon, I'm not sure if you should buy it anyway. Like I want to play Bloodborne and KH3 but I can't justify getting a PS4 for two games.

I really do have hope that Pokemon 2019 will be a better, fuller experience that LGPE. Let's Go is supposed to be an introductory game that pulls in a new younger audience and people who played Pokemon Go. I think they made it pretty clear that it's not for the competitive or hardcore Pokemon fan. It's just something to tide us over until the real new game comes out.

That being said, I'm not getting LGPE because I don't feel like I'm the targeted audience for it. It's an extremely watered down game. I truly believe a lot more effort will be put into the 2019 game.

It does have an audience. Children who haven't played Pokemon before and are too young to appreciate a full Pokemon game, and people who played Pokemon Go but are extremely casual when it comes to actual video games. It's a watered down, casual version of Pokemon for people who don't actually want to play Pokemon.

They're not going to buy a switch just for the game, but Pokemon is 2 decades old now. A lot of people who play Pokemon Go, but not other games, have children. A lot of people may already have a switch in their household that someone else is the main person playing.

That would be absolute terrible.

Bigger routes, more autism shit but better accessable, little bit more tweaking for cp, good online hub and custimization, more pokemons beeing hidden than handed over, battle facility with as many modes as pwt, better colors, no lags.
