First the pgl site loads like shit, then there is a news about the new tournament but no where on that news you can register to it. If you register to it, you need to go to the game and register yourself again.
How news are handled, how the online generally handled is really stupid. They could make an app and work with QR codes, in that app you could build your team, chat with other people, make put your pokemon to online trading and other shit. No ranks just elo, no actual rewards or something like that.
Of course that doesn´t mean that it will completly handle that, no. All the same shit should be done ingame too, except maybe chat. Well maybe now where Nintendo realized how actually important online is they will hopefully animate GF a little bit more. Pokemon could easily get tons of attention like other games, but they are way too stupid to handle it.
