Yeah so its a lizard that sheds its skin but has to keep it up, also it’s got a punk theme to it. P much it, I get that it has a hoodlum theme too, but its not racist now tied to blacks. Maybe if the hair was different, but the mohawk is a totally diferent vibe.

If he is the one I am battling, I wouldn't have to.
If he knows you well enough and is watching as you play, you shouldn't have to explain it.
If he doesn't know you and just happens to see you battling with it in public, it's awkward to just start up a conversation with someone over a particular Pokemon.

I don't think Scrafty's necessarily supposed to be black. He was designed by Japs, and the japanese don't see much difference between black and white thugs. Hip hop and Punk is also kinda the same for them. Just look at Team Skull
