I prefer to go with the complete opposite of this one.
Mew is a sort of mother goddess in the Pokemon universe- she gave birth to pretty much every Pokemon species on the planet, including humans. The only things she DIDN'T give birth to are:
>Arceus (who created her)>Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, and most other Legendaries and Mythicals (who were directly created by Arceus)>the Regis (who were created by Regigigas- except for Regigigas himself, who was created by Arceus)>Claydol, Baltoy, and the Porygon line, as well as a couple more Pokemon species I can't think of (created directly by humans)Mew, thus, would never want to harm a human- after all, the humans are her children, just like Pokemon.
Also, I choose to interpret the Fairy type as the Magic type. It means that the Garde line makes perfect sense as a Fairy- after all, Gardevoir is a mage.
