i fucking hate this because you're being ironic but I geniunely got stuck on this.
I never progressed further than viridian in yellow when i was 3 because I was roo retarded. I'm pretty sure I didn't know what half the words meant so I didn't know i had to go back to pallet. The fuck is a parcel to a 3 year old? just say mail.
When I did finally make progress it felt good and went smoothly for most of the game though, but this had to be one of the biggest obstacles for some reason.

he brought it back to me the next day, he was still on the first route, with an evolved starter. marshstomp lvl21 or so. he couldn't figure out that you were supposed to go left on the route to that city where your dad is the gym leader. I felt kind of bad for him but at the same time how do you manage that

Who lets a 3 year old play pokemon? I'm surprised you even got pass oak not being in the lab at the start with that age. But I agree that parcel is and always will be a stupid name. Package or mail is a wider approach.

When I was 3 years old I didn't even understand how games worked, I pressed random buttons (often deleting save files) and just threw the controller on the ground for no reason. I think you did pretty good.
