Incineroar IS one of the best starters we've gotten. You're just blinded by your own bad taste, boomer.
Also, aside from shifting to bipedal movement, its one of the 3rd stages that keeps the theme from its 2nd stage and runs wild with it.

Now that I think on it, at least Incineroar I can see coming from Torracat, even though everyone claims the opposite for MUH TWO LEGS. The limb stripes are there, the fluffy hair on the sides, the head stripe. I can see it as a natural evo no matter IF you like the evo or not.

There’s nothing indicating Decidueye from the butlery Dartrix or Primarina gaining the idol theme out of nowhere.

In that case Incineroar’s line is even more logical, since big cats don’t just wrestle and grapple their prey, they can and will get up on two legs for intimidation. Combined with Torracat then Incineroar getting muscular, the theme of wrestling is both logical and one that is consistent through the line. Not to mention visually there’s nothing connecting the seal trio beyond “blue skin” and “ball nose”. Brionne and Primarina gain creepy flesh dresses.

Nothing is lost from Popplio. Primarina is still described as being able to perform feats, now incorporating its singing abilities into controlling its bubbles.
