Why did the anime writers threw away Ash's greatest improve to his character so quickly? It wouldn't be so hard to write atleast one season around it.

Jokes aside, they couldn't have written that much anyway, and even if they did want to take that angle with it, it would serve no purpose since he would end up turning human again anyway, and he already knew how to train pokemon.
