Why aren't there more unique trainers? Why are they reserved to rivals, gym leaders and E4? Why is it so rare to find a unique trainer with some kind of sidestory or quest you can do? Or just more unique trainer designs with interesting teams and interesting dialogue/backstory if GF don't want to go through the effort of giving them a complete arc. Why are trainers in the series constantly relegated to generic classes? That was a limitation of the GBC and GBA before, but there's no excuse to continue having such generic and forgettable throwaway trainers from now on.
