Also gets Uturn. I don't know why the slow bulky physical bugs never get Uturn besides scizor

Yeah it just annoys me that the bugs that would appreciate uturn the most dont get it. Non bug type pokemon have coopted the move and thanks to that is probably why fairy resists bug. I wish the move never existed

Normally fast + Nasty Plot is a good ticket to being good, but Bug is such an awful offensive/defensive type it only marginally improves what Accelgor can do.

Again, bug type kills it. Even with STAB and the high attack, Leech Life is not reliable recovery and it's easy to wall even when the opponent isn't trying. It needs a more synergistic ability and Gyro Ball

Meganium I have no idea. Can't think of anything that Mega Venu/Celebi/Amoonguss/Tapu Bulu don't already have covered. Wish? Cloud Nine? Some kind of automatic cleric ability on a mega? That could be really obnoxious though.

These buffs would be great and they wont make them broken but they aren't needed in my opinion. I might be biased though because my accelgor has 1 shot many mewtwos in the past and escavalier has swept some pokemon in my trick room team

Eh, decent but I was thinking more SD sweeper with dual STABs + Megahorn. 112 BP Razor Shell is neat though.

Now that I think about it, Tough Claws boosts all of Samurott's major physical moves even if it's a bit lazy. Something like your stat spread with Tough Claws could be good. Maybe even bring up Razor Shell's BP to match Liquidation.

Agreed on Razor Shell being as strong as Liquidation although if it had Tough Claws Liquidation’s accuracy would make it the better choice. Shame Razor Shell is a joke compared to it’s alternatives. I just want it’s signature move to actually be worth a damn

Same. The high defense drop chance would be nice if it had the same power as Liquidation, but fishing for drops doesn't really mesh with being an SD sweeper.

Why not, anon? Samurott has claws, though I admit something sword-based makes more sense flavor-wise for him. Still doing better than Aerodactyl on that front though.

There have always been other Pokemon that got Razor Shell, but the move has always been associated with Samurott. Just like Lucario and Aura Sphere.

True. Still a nifty secondary effect though. Especially when a Water resist switches into the attack and later would have to eat a coverage move.

I'm aware the Shellder line was also able to learn it, but the move was created with the Oshawott line in mind(the 3DS games even still use the Scalchop for it's animation) and Shellder and Cloyster never had a debut in the BW anime.

It doesn't make sense for this to be a TM, but not be learned by anything that would want to use it. Almost all the pokemon that learn Leech life have either no use for it because they aren't Bug-type, because they aren't Physical attackers, or because they already learn it by a different method.

Really makes me think.
Keep in mind that Mega Aerodactyl hits harder with those moves than Choice Band Rock Head Aerodactyl does while also being faster and retaining the ability to use a move like Hone Claws to up Head Smash's accuracy or Roost to mitigate the self harm. The recoil damage is worth it.
